A little bit of history
Neighbourhood Watch in Thurrock?: The first NHW was set up here in 1982 in Mollington, Cheshire. Thurrock followed in 1984[?], but in recent years we lost some key figures and thereby lost impetus. Currently there is a vigorous effort to re-establish and expand our network. In this we have the strong support of the Police and we shall go on to revive links with Thurrock Council and other bodies. The Thurrock steering group has been reformed and we are renewing connections with existing Street Coordinators and recruiting more.
We are bring NHW into the 21 century by bring in email to communicate with the Neighhood Watch, so you can do as little or as much as you like to contribute.
